Prishtina club incident: 20-year-old disarmed after drawing weapon

A serious armed incident occurred in the early hours of October 3 at the Gate Club in Prishtina. A 20-year-old man, identified as Gjin Kuka, allegedly drew a 7.65 mm caliber handgun toward security staff after being denied entry through the VIP entrance.

The situation was neutralized when a member of the Kosovo Security Force, who was nearby, intervened by grabbing the suspect's hand and the weapon. Other security personnel assisted in disarming the individual and bringing the situation under control.

Police seized the firearm along with five bullets and a magazine. Following a decision by the State Prosecutor, the case has been initiated for criminal offenses including “use of a weapon or dangerous tool” and “unauthorized possession, control, or ownership of weapons.” Kuka has been detained for 48 hours while investigations continue.
