Prishtina court to deliver verdict in fatal traffic accident case

The Prishtina Basic Court is set to announce a verdict against Vullnet Gashi regarding a fatal traffic accident on Bill Clinton Street in Prishtina. The incident, which occurred on December 2, 2023, resulted in the death of pedestrian Ferhat Bejtullahu.

According to the prosecution, Gashi was driving without a valid driver's license and was operating his vehicle in a lane reserved exclusively for buses and taxis. The indictment alleges that Gashi failed to adjust his speed to road conditions, leading to the collision. The prosecution has noted Gashi's extensive history of traffic violations, citing 117 previous convictions for traffic offenses prior to the fatal accident.
