Liria ka Emër organizes protests in The Hague and Kosovo for KLA leaders

The civic platform ‘Liria ka Emër’ has announced a series of organized activities in support of former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) ahead of the Specialist Court’s verdict in The Hague.

A peaceful gathering, referred to as ‘Natën e Pritjes’ (Night of Waiting), is scheduled to take place in The Hague. The event is planned to begin at 22:00 on September 15 and continue until 10:00 on September 16, coinciding with the expected announcement of the indictment/verdict. Organizers, including Ismail Tasholli and Eliza Hoxha, stated the gathering aims to unite the Kosovar diaspora and local citizens in a dignified and peaceful demonstration.

In Kosovo, the platform is coordinating with several municipalities, including Pristina, Skenderaj, Vushtrri, Viti, and Prizren, to launch countdown initiatives. Additionally, a march is planned for September 12 in Pristina. Arbërie Nagavci of the Vetëvendosje Movement emphasized the need for national unity and maturity during this period, cautioning against the partisan appropriation of the issue.
