Prishtina police investigate suspicious device suspected to be air-dropped

Kosovo Police responded to reports of a suspicious device found on Rrustem Hyseni Street in Prishtina on Thursday afternoon. Upon receiving the information around 17:00, authorities immediately established a security perimeter and evacuated citizens from the area to ensure public safety.

The Improvised Explosive Device (IED) Disposal Unit was deployed to the scene to conduct a professional and controlled handling of the object. Preliminary investigations by the police suggest that the suspicious device may have been dropped from the air.

Authorities have stated that further examinations will continue to clarify the circumstances surrounding the incident. The police thanked the public for their vigilance and cooperation during the operation.
