Pristina Mayor praises Kosovo Assembly unity on KLA trial declaration

Përparim Rama, the Mayor of Pristina, has responded to the Kosovo Assembly's approval of a declaration regarding the trial of former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) in The Hague.

Rama emphasized the importance of institutional unity shown by the Assembly, stating that issues concerning Kosovo's war, history, and the foundations of the state must transcend political differences. He noted that when addressing the liberation war and historical truth, collective responsibility should outweigh partisan interests, asserting that “the state is above the parties.” He concluded that the message of unity sent by the Assembly is vital and should be heard strongly beyond Kosovo's borders.
