Prithviraj Chavan addresses Congress training and political issues in Nashik
Former Maharashtra Chief Minister and Congress leader Prithviraj Chavan addressed several political and administrative issues during a training camp for newly appointed district Congress presidents in Nashik. The camp, part of the AICC ‘Sangathan Srijan’ program, aims to educate approximately 60-70 new district officials on party history and organizational methods.
Chavan noted the possibility of Rahul Gandhi visiting Nashik around September 1 or 2 for the camp's closing ceremony. He also criticized an FIR filed against Rahul Gandhi in Uttarakhand, describing it as shameful. Furthermore, he condemned a ‘purification’ incident involving a venue used by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, demanding an investigation and legal action against those responsible.
Regarding international affairs, Chavan expressed support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s potential discussions in Uzbekistan concerning uranium procurement, stating that India should purchase uranium if it can be obtained at a fair price. He also raised questions regarding the Maratha reservation movement and preparations for the Nashik Kumbh Mela.
