Privacy warnings issued for smartphone screenshot sharing

Smartphone users are advised to exercise caution when sharing screenshots via messaging applications such as Zalo and Messenger to prevent identity theft and fraud. While screenshots are a convenient way to share conversations, order confirmations, or transaction details, they often inadvertently capture sensitive personal data.

To protect privacy, users should check for and obscure unnecessary personal information, including full names, phone numbers, email addresses, customer IDs, and physical addresses. Additionally, it is critical to ensure that screenshots do not reveal login credentials, passwords, or One-Time Passwords (OTP) and other authentication codes used during the login process.
