Private DNS methods for blocking mobile advertisements

Users can mitigate most mobile advertisements on Android and iOS by utilizing a private DNS server. By configuring a filtered DNS, such as the one provided by AdGuard, requests to known advertising servers are blocked before they load, which can speed up page loading and reduce data consumption.

On Android, this is a global setting found within the device's connection or network settings under the 'Private DNS' option. On iOS, due to a more closed system, users can achieve similar results by using the AdGuard application as a Safari extension to clean up web browsing experiences.
