Private equity firms Golding Capital and Schroders close major co-investment funds

Golding Capital Partners and Schroders Capital have announced successful fund closures for their respective co-investment strategies, targeting the small and mid-market sectors.

Golding Capital Partners reached a hard cap of €400 million for its “Golding Buyout Co-Investment 2023” fund. The capital was sourced from investors across nine European nations, with significant contributions from Germany and Switzerland. The fund intends to invest alongside private equity managers, focusing on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Europe and North America, specifically within B2B services, healthcare, industrial manufacturing, and technology.

Schroders Capital closed its fourth flagship co-investment strategy, Global Direct IV, at a record $1.3 billion. This represents the firm’s largest closed-ended commingled private equity strategy to date. The fund will target small and mid-sized private equity investments globally, including Europe, the US, and parts of Asia. Key sectors for investment include healthcare, technology, business services, consumer goods, and industrials.
