Private jet crashes into fence at Las Vegas airport
A Dassault Falcon 50 private jet veered off the end of a runway during a planned takeoff at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas on Sunday. The aircraft struck a perimeter fence following the mishap, which occurred around 11 a.m.
No injuries were reported in the incident. Airport spokesperson Monika Bertaki did not provide a specific cause for why the plane went off the runway.
The incident led to the closure of two runways for inspection and prompted the Federal Aviation Administration to temporarily pause planned flights to the airport, resulting in travel delays. As of August 2026, the airport has handled over 370,000 operations and more than 34 million passengers.
