Private label brands reach R$ 2.98 billion in Brazil's pharmacy channel
Private label brands in the Brazilian pharmacy channel reached a revenue of R$ 2.98 billion for the period ending June 2026. According to NielsenIQ data, this represents a 19.1% increase in revenue for pharmacy chains compared to the same period in the previous year.
Private labels account for 27.2% of total revenue within the pharmacy channel, while other categories represent 16.8%. In self-service formats, private labels hold a 50.1% share of total brands. Growth in this sector is driven by categories such as continuous consumption, wellness, personal care, multivitamins, and incontinence products.
Regional penetration of private labels varies across Brazil. Minas Gerais, Espírito Santo, and the interior of Rio de Janeiro recorded a 56% penetration rate, while Greater São Paulo reached 30.5%. The national average for private label penetration stands at 28.9%.
