Prix Versailles announces finalists for most beautiful stations of 2026

The Prix Versailles has announced the finalists for the ‘World’s Most Beautiful Stations’ category for 2026. The award, which evaluates projects based on architectural excellence, innovation, cultural integration, and sustainability, will name its final winner in December.

Among the global finalists are the Monte Sant’Angelo station in Naples and the Colosseo – Fori Imperiali station in Rome, representing Italy. The Monte Sant’Angelo station was designed by artist Anish Kapoor in collaboration with Fut.

Other notable finalists include Melbourne’s Town Hall Station in Australia, recognized for its cathedral-like underground volumes and coppery vaulted ceilings, and the Lyon Part-Dieu Station in France. The Prix Versailles has been celebrating excellence in architecture, design, and sustainability since 2015.
