Nick Jonas reveals Bollywood gossip perk and first DM that led to marriage with Priyanka Chopra

During an episode of the Jonas Brothers’ "Hey Jonas" podcast, Nick Jonas said the biggest perk of his eight‑year marriage to Priyanka Chopra is access to Bollywood gossip, joking that he secretly follows several gossip accounts. Priyanka laughed, noting Nick often tells her about Bollywood break‑ups before she hears them herself.

Jonas also shared the first direct message he sent to Chopra, which he posted on the podcast. Prompted by brother Kevin’s comment about the TV series "Quantico," Jonas spotted Chopra on a billboard, checked whether she followed him on X (Twitter), and messaged her: “Hello. I’ve heard from a few people that we should meet. Are you in LA anytime soon?” Chopra replied, “Hey. Graham’s told me so much about you. Let’s text more privately. My team can access this.” The pair exchanged messages for about a year and a half before dating, became engaged in Greece two months after beginning their relationship, and married in December 2018 at Jodhpur’s Umaid Bhawan Palace in a combined Christian‑Hindu ceremony. Their daughter, Malti Marie, was born via surrogacy in 2022.
