Priyanka Gandhi and MP Mahua spar over parliamentary remarks in India

During the monsoon session of Parliament, Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra defended her remarks about Union Minister Prashant Joshi, saying she has spoken only the truth and will continue to raise women's safety issues even if punished. She rejected claims that her statements were unparliamentary and called for accountability on incidents of violence against women.

In a separate exchange, BJP MP Mahua (Maji) dismissed actress‑turned‑MP Kangana Ranawat’s recent statements, labeling them unserious. Mahua criticised the government’s education policies, budget allocations for research, and the handling of student protests, citing alleged police use of tear gas and live ammunition. Both debates highlighted broader concerns over exam integrity, fast‑track courts, and the absence of key ministers in the house.
