Priyanka Gandhi criticizes government over son's exhibition controversy

Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has criticized the Indian government following a controversy involving a photography exhibition by her son, Raihan Vadra. The exhibition, titled ‘No Idea is Final’, was scheduled to take place at Bikaner House in Delhi.

Raihan Vadra reported that the Bikaner House administration removed approximately 74 photographs depicting recent Delhi protests shortly before the show was set to open. The artist stated he was given a deadline to remove the images or face the cancellation of the entire exhibition, with officials reportedly claiming it was ‘not the right time’ for such photographs to be displayed.

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra described the actions as ‘muzzling’ the voices of youth and suggested that the government’s reaction indicated a fear of expression. She remarked, ‘When someone with power becomes afraid of the expression of another, he doesn't know it, but he has already lost the very power he is trying to protect.’ Raihan Vadra maintained that the images were documentary in nature and did not convey a political message.
