Priyanka Gandhi Vadra criticizes government over Delhi crime

Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has accused the BJP government of failing to ensure women's safety following the gang rape and murder of a 17-year-old girl in Delhi. Vadra stated on social media that neither the government nor society is taking responsibility for protecting women, noting that despite frequent violence, perpetrators often face a lack of concrete action and FIRs are sometimes not even registered.

Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, also commented on the incident, stating that India cannot progress without ensuring the safety of women. He criticized the delay in police detection of the crime, describing the capital as a place of fear for women. Vadra specifically addressed Home Minister Amit Shah, questioning who holds responsibility for the Delhi Police and demanding the immediate arrest and punishment of the criminals involved.
