Prizren Court sentences minor to 9 years for fatal stabbing
The Prizren Basic Court has sentenced a minor, identified as A. O., to nine years in prison for the fatal stabbing of a 27-year-old man. The incident occurred on June 14, 2026, in the village of Kobaj.
According to court records, the minor acted in complicity with his brother, Sh. O., during a confrontation involving sharp objects. The minor stabbed the victim once in the chest, causing the 27-year-old to die while being transported to the hospital. Another individual, I. O., sustained minor injuries during the altercation.
The minor pleaded guilty to two criminal offenses: “aggravated murder” in complicity and “unauthorized possession, control, or possession of weapons.” The court accepted the plea after determining the minor understood the nature and consequences of his actions. The nine-year sentence will include time already served in pre-trial detention.
Legal proceedings regarding the other two suspects, Sh. O. and A. O., remain in the investigative phase within the Serious Crimes Department.
