Pārlielupe begins construction of new skatepark

Construction has begun on a new skatepark in Pārlielupe, Latvia, located at Loka maģistrālē 33 near the Pārlielupe primary school. The project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERAF) and is expected to be completed by November.

The facility will serve as a modern recreational area featuring several specialized zones. This includes a multifunctional pump track covering approximately 2,000 square meters with a 200-meter length, seven turns, and various ramps. Additionally, a 1,900-square-meter street and park skatepark zone is being developed, divided into sections for low-speed technical tricks and high-speed acrobatic maneuvers.

Ongoing work includes the installation of asphalt concrete surfaces, utility networks, and electronic communication lines. The completed site will also feature pedestrian paths, public toilets, rest areas, lighting, digital device charging points, and video surveillance cameras.
