PRM elects Luis Abinader and new leadership for 2026-2030

The Partido Revolucionario Moderno (PRM) has elected a new national leadership through a single unified slate during its National Assembly of Delegates. President Luis Abinader has been elected to lead the party for the 2026-2030 period.

The new leadership structure includes Deligne Ascención as first executive vice president, Milagros Ortiz Bosch as second vice president, Eddy Olivares as third, Nelson Arroyo as fourth, and Salvador Ramos as fifth. Juan Garrigó Mejía has been appointed Secretary General, succeeding Carolina Mejía, while Gloria Reyes takes over as National Organization Secretary and Luis Delgado as National Electoral Secretary.

The new administration is scheduled to be sworn in on September 5. This reconfiguration aims to balance traditional leadership with emerging political currents, including alliances involving figures like David Collado and Eduardo Sanz Lovatón. The decision to extend the national leadership term to four years ensures continuity through 2030, while territorial structures will remain in place until 2028.
