Prêmio Jabuti Acadêmico finalists announced for 3rd edition
The Câmara Brasileira do Livro (CBL) announced the finalists of the 3rd edition of the Prêmio Jabuti Acadêmico. The award features 27 categories, with five works shortlisted in each, organized under the Science and Culture axis and a Special Awards axis.
The ceremony is scheduled for 11 August at the Teatro Sérgio Cardoso in São Paulo and will be streamed live on CBL's YouTube channel. The announcement took place during the 78th Annual Meeting of the Sociedade Brasileira para o Progresso da Ciência (SBPC) in Niterói, Rio de Janeiro. The 2024 edition received 2,085 submissions. Winners will receive a Jabuti Acadêmico statuette and a cash prize of R$5,000, while the publishing houses of the winning works will also receive a statuette. Institutional support comes from the Academia Brasileira de Ciências, the Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado de São Paulo (FAPESP), and SBPC.
