Prêmio Rádio MEC registration deadline ends this Sunday

The registration period for the 22nd edition of the Prêmio Rádio MEC ends this Sunday, September 13. Organized by the Empresa Brasil de Comunicação (EBC), the competition invites singers, composers, and instrumentalists from across Brazil to submit original musical works.

Participants can enter three specific categories: Classical Music, Instrumental Music, and Children's Music. Submissions are free and must be completed via the official Rádio MEC website. For works containing lyrics, the language must be Portuguese. The initiative aims to discover new talent and integrate these works into the station's programming.

A total of nine awards will be presented. Six awards will be determined by a specialized jury, covering both best music and best performer in each category. The remaining three awards will be decided by popular vote. Classified works will be announced on September 25, with finalists revealed on November 18 and the ultimate winners announced on December 1.
