PRNigeria Young Communication Fellowship emphasizes integrity

Communication professionals and academics have advised participants of the 2026 PRNigeria Young Communication Fellowship (YCF) to prioritize trust, humility, and integrity in their careers. During the opening ceremony of the Abuja cohort, experts emphasized that credibility is the essential currency of leadership in the communications field.

Abdulazeez Abdullahi, Head of Corporate Communications and Stakeholder Engagement at BUA Group, noted that reputation is a priceless asset that must be protected through honesty and ethical conduct. He distinguished between temporary perception management and long-term reputation management, which is built through transparency and accountability.

Dr. Jamila Muhammad Dahiru, a senior lecturer and former Bauchi State Commissioner for Education, also encouraged the fellows to maintain humility and a commitment to continuous learning. The fellowship, organized by Image Merchants Promotion Limited (IMPR), aims to nurture the next generation of media and communication professionals.
