The 14th edition of the international literary festival ‘PRO-ZA Balkan’ will take place in Skopje from September 13 to 15. The event features 14 authors, editors, and publishers from across the region, positioning the city as a central literary hub.
Serbian writer Dragan Velikić has been named the recipient of the ‘Prozart’ award for his significant contribution to the development of Balkan literature. He will receive the award in person during the festival's closing ceremony at the Museum of the City of Skopje on September 15.
The festival program includes roundtable discussions, literary meetings, and presentations from various regional authors, including Diana Çuli from Albania, Gabriela Babnik Watara from Slovenia, Nikolay Terziyski from Bulgaria, and Mike Downey from the UK/Ireland. Additional cultural events, such as film screenings and musical-literary performances, are scheduled to continue through September 19.
