Procida restaurant opens in New Orleans' Marigny

Procida, a new Italian restaurant focusing on the regional cuisine of Campania and the Amalfi Coast, has officially opened in the Marigny neighborhood of New Orleans. Located in a historic building, the establishment aims to offer a departure from traditional Creole-Italian fare by highlighting lighter, southern Italian flavors.

Led by Chef Valeriano Chiella, who was previously the executive chef at Domenica, the menu features specialties such as crudo platters finished with colatura di alici, seafood-filled Sicilian arancina, and bucatini aglio e olio. Chiella, who was born on the Amalfi Coast, operates the restaurant alongside partners Alessandro Apuzzo and Ali Rafiei.
