Procon Manaus reports drop in cooking gas prices and expands school outreach

Procon Manaus released its August cooking gas price survey, revealing a 2.44% decrease in the lowest price for 13kg cylinders, which dropped from R$ 123.00 to R$ 120.00. The lowest price was found at Fogás, while Amazongás recorded a minimum of R$ 121.00. Conversely, the price for 8kg cylinders saw a 1.25% increase, rising from R$ 79.99 to R$ 80.99.

In addition to market monitoring, the agency conducted its ‘Procon Manaus nas Escolas’ initiative at the Pequeno Príncipe municipal school in the East Zone. The program provided consumer rights and conscious consumption education to over 100 elementary school students through interactive games and activities.
