Procon summons Sesc over Roupa Nova concert ticket sales in Petrópolis

The consumer protection agency Procon in Petrópolis issued an intimation to Sesc Rio de Janeiro, organizer of the Sesc Winter Festival, demanding clarification on the sale of tickets for a Roupa Nova concert scheduled for July 17. Consumers complained that when the sale opened at 10 a.m. on July 8 via the Ingresso.com platform, the tickets already appeared sold out. Sesc responded that 1,300 tickets were allocated for the event, with 1,089 sold online at the opening time and quickly exhausted due to high demand; the remaining tickets were designated for on‑site purchase and relationship allocations. Procon opened a fiscalisation procedure and asked Sesc to provide the total number of tickets offered and a detailed sales ledger.
