Procuraduría revokes suspension of Duitama legal advisor
The Procuraduría Regional de Instrucción Boyacá has revoked the provisional suspension of María Teresa Camargo González, the head of the Legal Advisory Office for the Duitama Mayor's Office. The suspension had been originally ordered by the Personería Municipal de Duitama as part of a disciplinary investigation into alleged political participation.
The original measure, directed by municipal personero Felipe Acosta, was intended to cover the period between June 17 and June 21, 2026. Following a review by the regional Procuraduría on July 27, 2026, the suspension was overturned.
As a result of this decision, the Procuraduría has ordered the Duitama Mayor's Office to reinstate Camargo González to her position if she has not already been reintegrated and to pay her all lost remuneration during the period of the suspension.
