Procuraduría seeks suspension of $292.9 billion peso hospital project bid

The Procuraduría General de la Nación has requested the suspension of a bidding process worth approximately $292.9 billion pesos intended for the remodeling and expansion of the Hospital San Juan de Dios and Materno Infantil in Bogotá.

The oversight body identified potential irregularities in the contracting process, including a lack of clear documentation regarding project financing and inconsistencies in the final evaluation of bidders. Specifically, the Procuraduría noted deficiencies in the financial indicators used to assess participants, such as liquidity, indebtedness, and profitability, citing a failure to provide sufficient documentation to justify these values. The request for suspension was directed to the Agencia Nacional Inmobiliaria Virgilio Barco Vargas and the fiduciary DaviBank to allow for a review of the bidding conditions.
