Produce companies BrightFresh and Berry Fresh announce new product expansions
BrightFresh Microgreens and Berry Fresh are set to showcase new product developments and growth strategies at the International Fresh Produce Association (IFPA) Global Produce & Floral Show in Orlando.
BrightFresh Microgreens will debut a collection of eight Microgreen Salad Blends and six Micro Herbs. The new retail lineup includes varieties such as Micro Arugula, Micro Broccoli, and Micro Watercress, alongside specialized salad blends like Micro Asian and Micro Spicy. These products are designed for convenience, intended to be used in everyday meals like sandwiches, bowls, and tacos.
Berry Fresh is focusing on flavor-driven genetics and year-round supply to drive category growth. The company is expanding its premium blueberry offerings through a licensing relationship with Mountain Blue Orchards, with commercial fruit expected from Peru in late 2027. Additionally, Berry Fresh is increasing its vertically integrated U.S. production by developing a new company-owned blueberry farm in Oregon and expanding Sweet Karoline blackberry acreage in the same region.
