Producer Andrew Watt reveals collaborations with McCartney, Stones, and Elton John
Music producer Andrew Watt has revealed an extensive list of high-profile collaborations with legendary artists. Watt is currently producing Paul McCartney’s upcoming project, ‘The Boys of Dungeon Lane’, and is co-producing the Rolling Stones’ album ‘Foreign Tongues’.
Watt is also working on a new album with Elton John. He noted that the creative process with the 79-year-old artist has adapted to John’s recent loss of most of his eyesight, involving the use of large screens for lyrics.
Other recent and ongoing projects include co-producing Brandi Carlile’s ‘Returning to Myself’, working on two tracks for Madonna’s ‘Confessions II’, and collaborating with Lady Gaga on several new songs, including contributions for ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’. Watt also facilitated a collaboration between Madonna and Charli XCX for a ‘Danceteria’ remix. Additionally, he co-wrote and co-produced Michael Stipe’s single ‘I Played the Fool’ and is working on Stipe’s upcoming solo debut.
