Ghanaian music producer Kux has shared details regarding the creative development of ‘Gen Z’, a song produced for the artist Fameye. Kux stated that the production process took approximately three months as he sought to move away from conventional Afrobeats styles that dominate the local music scene.
To achieve a unique sound, Kux experimented with a fusion of Afrobeats, amapiano, and Italian-inspired guitar elements. He noted that the project was driven by a desire to provide producers with more recognition and to avoid the predictable patterns currently prevalent in modern production. The track was originally developed in his home studio before Fameye heard the beat and expressed interest in the sound.
