Productos Nevada advances sustainability and circular economy in Panama

Productos Nevada, a Panamanian subsidiary of the Dos Pinos cooperative, has released its latest sustainability report highlighting a focus on integral well-being and circular economy practices.

Key environmental initiatives include the removal of approximately 60 million plastic straws from the market, replaced by biodegradable alternatives. The company also reported a 21% reduction in plastic used for screw caps in its packaging during 2025.

Community-focused efforts include a recycling and environmental education project in the Bugaba district of Chiriquí, which involved over 4,000 students and recovered more than 1,500 pounds of post-consumer packaging. Additionally, in collaboration with the Technological University, the company conducted coastal cleanup efforts that recovered roughly 10 tons of waste.
