PROERD program conducts drug prevention education in Brazil
The Drug Abuse Resistance Education Program (PROERD) is conducting educational activities for 5th-grade students in various Brazilian municipalities to promote drug and violence prevention.
In Andradina, São Paulo, the program held a graduation ceremony where Águas Andradina, a company from the Grupo Iguá Saneamento group, contributed by donating a bicycle as part of its social responsibility initiatives. The curriculum, led by military police, focuses on topics such as self-esteem, empathy, self-control, and responsible decision-making.
In Marechal Cândido Rondon, the program launched its second-semester activities with an inaugural session attended by local authorities, educators, and security representatives. The initiative serves both municipal and private schools, aiming to strengthen the partnership between schools, families, and public security forces. The program is supported by sponsors including Sicredi Aliança PR/SP and Combate Max Móveis e Eletro.
