Prof. Tsvetan Lazarov memorial planned for Plovdiv following Pleven unveiling

A bas-relief honoring prominent Bulgarian aviation figures Prof. Tsvetan Lazarov and Asen Yordanov has been unveiled at the Georgi Benkovski Air Force Academy in Pleven. The ceremony included the graduation of cadets and the official dedication of the memorial markers.

Georgi Gatev, the Mayor of the Trakia district in Plovdiv, attended the event at the invitation of the Bulgarian Air Force Foundation. The visit served to coordinate upcoming initiatives, specifically the planned installation of a bas-relief dedicated to Prof. Tsvetan Lazarov in the Trakia district of Plovdiv this autumn. This project aims to honor the scientist and aircraft designer's significant contributions to the development of Bulgarian aviation.
