Profeco warns of fake Luis Miguel farewell tour ticket scam

Mexico's Federal Consumer Protection Agency (Profeco) has issued an urgent alert regarding a fraudulent campaign promoting a fake farewell tour for singer Luis Miguel, titled ‘La Despedida Tour 2027’.

The scam involves the website GoTicket, which has been advertising supposed concert dates in Mexico City, Monterrey, and Guadalajara for January 2027. Profeco clarified that neither the artist nor any official ticketing agencies have announced a new tour for that period.

Authorities identified GoTicket as an unofficial resale platform that lacks verified contact information and official social media presence. Consumers are advised to avoid entering personal or banking details on suspicious sites and to verify all event information through the artist's official channels.
