Profeco warns of fraudulent ticket sales for Live at Munet festival
Mexico's Federal Consumer Protection Agency (Profeco) has issued an alert regarding the fraudulent sale of tickets for the ‘Live at Munet’ electronic music festival, which was scheduled for October 29, 30, and 31.
Authorities have noted that the event organizers lack the necessary permits from the Mexico City Secretariats of Civil Protection and the Environment. The Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE), which manages the Museo Nacional de Energía y Tecnología (Munet) where the event was to take place, confirmed that the promoters do not have authorization to hold the spectacle.
The administration of the Munet facility, located in the second section of Chapultepec Forest, stated that authorities have not granted approval and that tickets cannot be legally commercialized until contractual obligations and authorizations are resolved. Profeco warns consumers against purchasing tickets through unofficial links sent via email or making direct bank transfers to individuals, as these are identified as fraudulent practices.
