Professional councils in Brazil hold training on management and ethics
The Regional Medical Council of Acre (CRM-AC) held a meeting in Rio Branco as part of the ‘Divulga CFM’ project to discuss the importance of physician leadership in healthcare management. Federal Councilor Maíra Pereira Dantas emphasized that medical expertise is essential for ensuring organizational flow, quality, and patient safety. CRM-AC President Alan Areal noted the event serves to qualify and guide professionals acting as technical and clinical directors.
Separately, the Federal Council of Administration (CFA) conducted a nationwide training project across Brazil's five regions between June and August 2026. The initiative focused on strengthening institutional integrity, ethical conduct, and ombudsman procedures within the CFA/CRA system. Led by officials including Clenis Siqueira de Souza Lima, the program aimed to unify the application of ethical principles and normative updates across regional councils.
