Professional fishing tours conclude 2026 championship seasons

The 2026 professional fishing season concluded with major championship results across two prominent tours. At the National Walleye Tour Championship on Lake Sakakawea, Isaac Lakich secured the title with a three-day total of 75 pounds, 14 ounces. Kristin Meyers made history as the first woman to win a National Walleye Tour Championship. Other honors included Beau Schilling as Progressive Angler of the Year and Michael George as Progressive Co-Angler of the Year.

In the Bassmaster Elite Series, the season ended with a smallmouth bass competition on the St. Lawrence River and Lake Ontario. Event winner Evan Kung recorded the largest four-day smallmouth weight in history, exceeding 109 pounds. Angler Trey McKinney, the Angler of the Year winner, also achieved the largest single-day smallmouth bag in Bassmaster history.
