Professional memory card performance and specifications

Testing and product data for high-performance memory cards, including CFexpress Type B and CompactFlash, highlight advancements in storage speeds for professional photography and videography.

CFexpress Type B evaluations conducted across 14 shooting scenarios—including 8K RAW video and high-speed burst shooting—identify top-performing cards for 2026. Key models tested include the PERGEAR 512GB Master Series CFexpress 4.0, ProGrade Digital Gold series, Delkin Devices BLACK, SanDisk Extreme PRO, Angelbird AV PRO SE, and Lexar Professional Silver Series. The testing emphasizes the differences between CFexpress 4.0 and 2.0, noting that while 4.0 doubles PCIe lanes, actual bandwidth depends on camera compatibility.

Additionally, the SanDisk Extreme PRO CompactFlash series features VPG-65 specification support, designed to ensure smooth 4K and Full HD video recording. These cards offer transfer speeds up to 160MB/s and are engineered for durability in extreme temperatures ranging from -25ºC to 85ºC.
