Professor granted access to documents from Rød-Larsen basement

Professor Hilde Henriksen Waage of the University of Oslo has been granted access to documents found in cardboard boxes in the basement storage of Terje Rød-Larsen and Mona Juul. The documents were discovered by Økokrim during an investigation into the couple’s connections to the late Jeffrey Epstein.

Waage believes the boxes may contain missing records from the Oslo process of the early 1990s, a series of negotiations between Israel and the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO). Waage has spent years seeking these documents after discovering gaps in archival materials while working for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the early 2000s.

While Økokrim has seized one box, others have been transferred to the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Waage noted that the process of reviewing and declassifying the large volume of material is taking longer than expected.
