Professor Kim Kang-il elected President-Elect of Arthroplasty Society in Asia

Professor Kim Kang-il of Kyung Hee University Hospital at Gangdong has been elected as the President-Elect of the Arthroplasty Society in Asia (ASIA). The announcement was made during the ASIA academic conference held in Hainan, China, from September 10 to 12.

Following a preparatory period, Professor Kim is scheduled to serve as the President of ASIA from 2028 to 2030. ASIA is a professional academic organization that brings together joint replacement specialists from across Asia to share research and lead international clinical cooperation.

Professor Kim has previously served as president of the Korean Knee Society and the Korean Orthopaedic Trauma Association. His research team also received recognition at the conference, with Professor Lee Hyo-beom winning the Best Oral Presentation Award for their research.
