Professor Mihai Sorin Rădulescu of University of Bucharest Passes Away at 60

The Faculty of History at the University of Bucharest announced the death of Professor Mihai Sorin Rădulescu (1966‑2026) at the age of 60. He was a prominent Romanian historian, teaching the history of Romania and Southeast Europe and authoring works such as *Elita liberală românească 1866‑1900* and *Genealogii, memorie și strămoși*.

Rădulescu earned his doctorate in history from the Institut National des Langues et Civilisations Orientales in Paris and held research fellowships at institutions including the Institut für Europäische Geschichte in Mainz and the DAAD. The academic community expressed deep condolences to his family, colleagues, and students, noting his extensive contributions of over 170 scholarly articles and numerous cultural publications.
