Professor Min-jung Oh inaugurated as president of KSMFM

Professor Min-jung Oh of Korea University Guro Hospital has been inaugurated as the president of The Korean Society for Maternal Fetal Medicine (KSMFM). Her two-year term began on September 1, 2024.

Professor Oh is a specialist in high-risk pregnancy and fetal care. She previously served in several key roles within the KSMFM, including Vice President and Chair of the Academic Committee. She also managed the High-Risk Mother and Newborn Integrated Treatment Center at Korea University Guro Hospital from 2020 to 2025.

In response to the rising rates of advanced maternal age and high-risk pregnancies during the low birth rate era, Professor Oh stated her commitment to strengthening the society’s academic capabilities and training the next generation of maternal-fetal medicine specialists. She aims to create an environment where all pregnant women can give birth safely regardless of their location.
