Professor Pavlos Pavlidis Returns to Student Life After Gaining Spot in Mathematics Programme

Associate professor Pavlos Pavlidis of the University of Crete’s Department of Biology, also a researcher at the Institute of Informatics of ICT, decided to sit the Greek national university entrance exams again. He succeeded and was admitted to his first‑choice, the Department of Mathematics and Applied Mathematics at the same university.

Pavlidis described mathematics as his lifelong love, likening it to art, and emphasized that the real challenge is to become wiser through study. After the results, he publicly thanked the teachers who had shaped his path, highlighting a former mathematics instructor who influenced him deeply.
