Professora Dorinha allocates R$ 49.1 million to Tocantins Military Police

Professora Dorinha (União Brasil) has allocated R$ 49.1 million to the Military Police of Tocantins (PMTO) through parliamentary funds designated in 2017, 2023, and 2024. These investments have funded an Esquilo B2 helicopter, digital radio communication systems, weaponry, horses, and various structural improvements for the corporation.

In 2024 alone, R$ 35 million was directed toward the aircraft and a fuel transport tanker. Previous allocations included R$ 13.6 million in 2017 for communications and restructuring, and R$ 500,000 in 2023 for weapons and equines.

As part of a broader security platform, Dorinha announced the ‘Tocantins pela Paz’ program, which aims to establish a police presence in all municipalities and combat organized crime. Her proposals include annual civil service exams for the military police, increased intelligence capabilities, and improved working conditions. Additionally, her plan focuses on protecting women through the creation of specialized police stations and the implementation of the ‘Casa da Mulher Tocantinense’ in Araguaína and Gurupi.
