ProfQui 2027 offers 288 free chemistry master's positions for teachers

The National Network Professional Master's in Chemistry (ProfQui) has opened applications for 288 free master's degree positions for 2027. The program is designed for Basic Education chemistry teachers and is coordinated by the Institute of Chemistry at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), in co-management with the Brazilian Chemical Society (SBQ).

Applications are available online until September 28, 2026. The selection process consists of two stages: a multiple-choice in-person exam scheduled for October, followed by a letter of intent for qualified candidates. Eligible applicants must hold a degree in Chemistry (licentiate or bachelor's) or related fields recognized by the Ministry of Education and must be currently teaching chemistry in Basic Education.

Priority for the vacancies is given to candidates working in the public school system. Remaining spots may be allocated to private school teachers according to institutional limits. The program spans 22 Brazilian cities across all five regions of the country.
