Progetto Civico Italia expands into Lombardy with new regional coordination

Progetto Civico Italia, a political movement that transitioned into a party on June 12, has expanded its presence into Lombardy. Founder Alessandro Onorato, an official from Rome, presented the new regional coordination at Palazzo Pirelli, announcing the inclusion of 38 administrators and an alliance with the Movimento Patto Civico per la Lombardia.

The party aims to revitalize the center-left by appealing to abstainers who feel disconnected from traditional leftist parties. Progetto Civico Italia reports having over 1,000 administrators, 103 mayors, and 500 civic committees nationwide, with more than 16,000 registered members.

By the end of October, the party plans to release a national industrial plan. One key proposal includes making nurseries free across Italy, a measure the party estimates would cost less than 500 million euros.
