Authorities in the Saturn resort have activated the Red Intervention Plan following reports of dozens of people feeling unwell at a local hotel. While initial reports estimated around 30 individuals were affected, later updates from the Ministry of Health indicated that 55 people received medical assistance, including eight minors.

Six individuals, including a pregnant woman and a mother with two children, were transported to the Constanța County Emergency Clinical Hospital. Sanitary inspectors from the Constanța Public Health Directorate have been deployed to the hotel to conduct an epidemiological investigation and collect food samples to determine the cause of the illness.

Separately, maritime authorities have issued warnings regarding approximately 199 containers from the cargo ship PROGRESS IV, which sank on August 27 in Romania's exclusive economic zone in the Black Sea. The containers, which include sugar and approximately 5,643 tons of clay, are drifting and pose a navigation hazard, with some potentially moving toward Bulgarian waters.
