Proindustria Director highlights Cibao's industrial potential at Expo Acero 2026

Rafael Cruz Rodríguez, Director General of the Center for Industrial Development and Competitiveness (Proindustria), highlighted the productive potential of Santiago and the Cibao region during the Expo Acero 2026 gala. Cruz Rodríguez emphasized that the region's long-standing productive culture and the ability of local companies to diversify and adopt new technologies create significant opportunities for investment, employment, and added value.

He noted that the Dominican Republic's geographic position and proximity to strategic markets provide favorable conditions for attracting new investments and strengthening national industrial capacities.

The fourth edition of Expo Acero is being held from September 18 to 20 at the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra in Santiago. The event features over 100 brands related to steel construction and recognizes the United States as the guest of honor. The agenda includes workshops, conferences, and business networking focused on design, manufacturing, technology, and sustainability.
