ProInversión seeks US$7 billion in Brazilian renewable energy investment

ProInversión, Peru's private investment promotion agency, is seeking to attract Brazilian investment in renewable energy and strategic infrastructure. During a meeting with the Brazil-Peru Chamber of Commerce and a specialized Brazilian business delegation, the agency presented an investment portfolio exceeding US$7 billion.

The proposed projects focus on electrical generation, transmission, and irrigation. Key initiatives include Groups 2 and 3 of the 2025-2034 Transmission Plan, the Las Joyas photovoltaic plant, and irrigation concessions such as Olmos, Chavimochic III, Chinecas, and Majes Siguas II.

ProInversión highlighted Brazil's expertise in solar, wind, and hydroelectric power, inviting Brazilian companies to contribute technology and knowledge through public-private partnerships and asset projects. The agency also noted that 55 transmission lines have already been awarded to strengthen the national electrical system.
